About us
Welcome to Textile Science’s lab!
We would like to find out the relationship between human sensation and textiles. By analysing different fibres, yarns, fabrics and apparels, a better understanding of the mechanism of comfort sensation and visual perception towards textiles can be achieved. The achievement can help to make better products and improve people's life.
We aim to pursue our research in the following areas:
- Develop methods for evaluating human perception and physical properties in the characterization of materials
- Analyse, quantify and index sensations unique to humans to help develop value-added materials
- Develop novel knitting structures to achieve the desired properties for different end-uses
- Evaluate functional and medical textiles products in the aspect of fit and comfort, as well as physiological and psychological responses of human
